The Merchant Seamans monument

An award winning sculpture, fusing together a sleeping head and a ship's hull, the Cardiff Merchant Seaman's Memorial is sited in front of the Welsh Parliament in Cardiff Bay. It was constructed using the traditional ship building technique of riveting plates of metal together.
